Forbes has covered the story of Kari Warberg Block, the Pest Control Entrepreneur that built a $10million environmentally friendly pest control empire. Warberg Block is the Founder and CEO of North Dekota’s Earth-Kind. Earth-Kind is a pest control company with a twist specialising in developing natural pest preservation products.

Pest Control Scam – USA

David Smitley of Michigan State Extention, Department of Entomology has put out a warning to the residents of the Ann-Arbor-Ypsilanti area about a potential pest control scam. He wrote on msue.anr.msu.edu that “It looks like we are seeing a new pesticide treatment sales scam”. Smitley called upon his own experience sum 15 years prior about a similar gypsy moth scam.

naij.com has reported arrests of falsely advertised professional pest controllers operating which despite being unlicensed or untrained. The article mentions the risks of the chemicals and potential problems of them falling into the hands of the untrained. “Misuse or wrong application of pesticides affect the nervous system, respiratory system, kidney, liver and even skin either through inhalation, ingestion or dermal absorption.”
